Brief description of the organisation's work: Queen Elizabeth's Foundation Training College is a centre of excellence for the provision of training for disabled people, especially those who have been forced into career changes by accident or illness. Each of our 16 courses is focussed on a job market and can lead to a recognised qualification. High quality training takes place within a supportive environment enabling trainees to learn at their own pace with additional assistance in English Maths and Information Technology available if required. A full range of support facilities are available
to enable trainees to rebuild their confidence and make the best of
their abilities. Training people for sustainable employment is the
chief aim with career guidance, job getting skills, work experience
and assistance in finding employment obtainable through the Employment
Development Team. Leisure Support Staff help complete the College's
holistic approach to developing self-confidence and life skills of
all trainees. |
