Brief description of the organisation's work: Cranfold job seekers club is best
described as a voluntary jobcentre. It is not part of the employment
service, being an independent, registered charity (no 1064751) entirely
staffed by volunteers. It assists those seeking to find, or change,
employment, without distinction of gender, age, disability, race or
current employment status and it displays details of job vacancies received
from Guildford and Horsham jobcentres, and directly from local employers.
Its services are free to all. (It raises funds largely from appeals
to grant-making trusts, and receives no public funding). It only provides
information, and does not give advice (apart from advising people to
seek advice from cabx, careers services etc, and occasionally (!) From
jobcentres).
